SEDIBENG. – Vanderbijlpark police spokesperson sergeant Gertrude Makhale reports that 22 young men between the ages of 17 and 24 were taken in for questioning.

This follows a gang war that erupted over the weekend in Bophelong where two rival gangs were allegedly fighting over controlling initiation schools in the area.

Makhale says, “The boys were no arrested, they were only taken in for questioning. Two suspects have since been arrested, one was arrested for murder while the other one is being charged with arson.”

Makhale urged members of the community with information to come forward.
