ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found a woman lying on the ground while a man was walking around the scene. Both the light motor vehicle and motorbike were found in the middle of the road.
Paramedics assessed the patients on scene and found that the woman, who had been a passenger on the motorbike, had sustained an injury to her arm as well as her back.
The woman was treated for her injuries and thereafter transported to Kopanong Provincial Hospital for further treatment. Fortunately, no other patients were found on the scene.
It is believed that the light motor vehicle had apparently turned in front of the motorbike, which was unable to stop in time.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
