VANDERBIJLPARK. – A truck driver believed to be in his 50’s was injured this morning when the truck he was in overturned on the R716 near Vanderbijlpark.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 05h45 and found the truck lying on its right side next to the road.

Upon closer inspection, paramedics found the man trapped inside the truck. They had to break the window to get him out.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he sustained a head injury. He was treated on the scene before being transported to Mediclinic Emfuleni.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
