Vanderbijlpark twins brutally raped

"The man known to us told his friend that they should kill us and throw us into the Rietspruit Dam. The other man refused and said that they should let us go."

VANDERBIJLPARK. -Police Spokesperson Warrant Officer Simon Mofokatsane has urged victims to report crimes perpetrated against them after twin sisters aged 26 from Rosashof were raped this past weekend.

According to the victims, they were raped by a man whom they know and his friend. The victims say they were walking home from their pastor’s birthday party when the incident happened.

The twins said after each of the men raped both of them, they argued about whether they should kill them or not. “The man known to us told his friend that they should kill us and throw us into the Rietspruit Dam. The other man refused and said that they should let us go.”

Mofokatsane says, “The two suspects were  arrested and have since appeared in court on charges of rape. What is alarming is that this incident happened during  Child Protection Week and Youth Month.  We would like to urge any victims of rape or any violence to report it to the police.”
