Bakkie crashes off bridge leaving four dead.

ER24 paramedics and Provincial Services arrived on the scene at 08h30 to find the wrecked bakkie smashed against the bridge wall. Paramedics did a quick assessment of the four men found lying trapped inside.

KRUGERSDORP. –  ER24 reports that four men have been killed after the driver of a bakkie lost control this morning, causing it to leave the R28.

The vehicle is said to have plunged down approximately ten metres,  smashing into the bridge wall on the road below.  The incident happened on  Robert Boom Drive in Krugersdorp.

ER24  paramedics and Provincial Services arrived on the scene at 08h30 to find the wrecked bakkie smashed against the bridge wall. Paramedics did a quick assessment of the four men found lying trapped inside.

Unfortunately, all four men had sustained numerous fatal injuries and were pronounced dead on the scene. Provincial Fire Services had to later use the jaws-of-life equipment to free the bodies from the vehicle

Local authorities were on the scene and will be investigating further.
