Marilyn has recently retired but Blades is still going strong, with the very experienced hairstylist, Chris du Toit, now holding the reins.
Chris boasts more than two decades in the hairstyling industry, of which he spent the last 11 years at Blades. Apart from hairstyling, the salon also offers professional make-up and nail care.
“I have learnt so much from Marilyn, especially with regards to management. I’m very blessed to have the support of seven very talented and creative staff members.
“Everyone is gifted in his or her own way and we work together as a very tight-knit team…professional, driven, creative and innovative,” says Chris.
Although Blades will always keep up with the latest trends and styles, their old time clients can rest assured that this salon will never deviate from its mission to treat every client like a celebrity – no matter whether you’re a teen or a golden oldie, male or female. “Tender loving care: That’s what all our clients deserve.
