R.I.P ‘Bouza’
He is said to have been what one would describe as a straight talker.
SEBOKENG.– The Vaal community woke up to sad news earlier this week. Businessman and academic, Lehlohonolo Armstrong ‘Bouza’ Motale, is no more. He died of suspected mild flu, aged 61 on Sunday, 6 December. Those who knew ‘Bouza’, as he was affectionately known, said that he was a philanthropist and a pillar of the community. He is said to have been what one would describe as a straight talker who was intolerant of youngsters who embroiled themselves in illicit ways. Instead he would encourage young people to push hard on education, to help to shape the country.
One of his close friends, Lunga Fuzane said that Bouza was a darling who never wanted to see his community lack anything. “He was also intolerant of anyone who was not direct and straight-forward. We have lost a father, a man who hated unnecessary conflict and supported anything that was pro-community,” said Fuzane. Motale was a former member of Black Consciousness Movement who later joined the African National Congress (ANC). Messages of support and condolences have been pouring for the Motale family from all corners of the country.
Bouza is survived by his wife, three children and grandchildren.
He will be buried on Friday, the funeral service starts from 9:00 till 11:00 at the Vereeniging City Hall.
