Woman’s vehicle set alight in Evaton

"The complainant says she was woken up by her daughter in the early hours of the morning alerting her that her vehicle was on fire. She then woke everybody up and they subsequently went outside to extinguish the fire on the vehicle."

EVATON. – The Police in Evaton  have launched a case docket of malicious damage to property after a woman’s vehicle was set alight in Evaton recently.

According to police spokesperson Constable Thulisile Msibi, the complainant was at her home in Evaton with her family when the incident happened.

“The complainant says she was woken up by her daughter in the early hours of the morning alerting her that her vehicle was on fire. She then woke everybody up and they subsequently went outside to extinguish the fire on the vehicle.”

A case of Malicious damage to property was opened and no arrest has been made.
