SEDIBENG.- It was a great start for the hosting nation, Cameroon when they beat Burkino Faso 2-1 in the opening fixture of African Cup Of Nation (AFCON) on Sunday.
However, Cameroon had to sweat before they registered their victory against the stubbon Burkino Faso.

Burkino Faso were the first to take the lead but the host came back very strongly and they were rewarded for their hard work when they scored from a penalty spot to equalise. Burkino Faso conceeded another penalty which saw Cameroon took the lead for the first time in the evening.
However, Burkino Faso never went down without a fight as they threw everything to much supported host nation.
