Good as dumping the dead?

One of the scavengers said that he saw a black man off-loading the tombstones from a bakkie.

BEDWORTHPARK.- Numerous tombstones have been dumped at a site near the Mario Milani Road commonly known as Spider Valley and Ascot-on-Vaal.

According to the engraved names and surnames, the tombstones were those of black people who were born in the 1920s and died at the ages of 67. Some suspect that the tombs were displaced from elsewhere so that whoever needed the space could plant or build. At the time Sedibeng Ster arrived at the dumping site, it discovered that the site was not a rubbish dump.

However, to prevent members of the public from dumping, Spider Valley Road had been closed off. The tombstones were discovered by scavengers. One of the scavengers said that he saw a black man off-loading the tombstones from a bakkie. The dumper clearly thought he was alone. He allegedly placed them in such a way to be perfectly readable from the road.
