Futballing Girls hosts the second edition of the Gauteng Women in Sports Awards

The Futballing Girls Founder and Chairperson, Moonira Ramathula, is the brand child behind this unique project.

SEDIBENG.-  Futballing Girls hosted the 2nd edition of The Gauteng Women in Sports Awards at Anew Parktonian Hotel over the weekend.

This Gauteng Women in Sports Awards is meant to celebrate and recognise the performance of women in sports at district level.  The winners from the district awards Westrand, Ekurhuleni, Johannesburg, Tshwane and Sedibeng Women in Sports Awards held in 2021, automatically become finalists for the 2022 Gauteng Women in Sports Awards.

The Futballing Girls founder and Chairperson, Moonira Ramathula, is the brand child behind this unique project designed to recognise women in sports in Gauteng.

The contenders have participated in different sporting codes including, skydiving, athletics, football, rugby, tennis, martial arts, golf, softball, volleyball, disability sport and figure skating to mention but few.  Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Ramathula said that this year, three new categories have also introduced.
