Muzi Manyika (8) laid to rest at last
Police told the parents that at the time his body was found, it was decomposed and burned on the side.
BOIPATONG.- At last the body of a grade 3 learner, Gcinimuzi Manyika was laid to laid to rest at the Vanderbijlpark Cemetery last Thursday
The funeral service started at his home in Winniespark before going to the to the Boipatong Community Hall. The service was mostly attended by learners from Phuthulla Primary School in Boipatong. The boy was allegedly kidnapped by occupants driving a white Mercedes Benz Vito on 1 January this year. His body was discovered by a passerby in the veld near Delfos Boulevard, Vanderbijlpark on 5 January.
The family was only alerted by a neighbour working at the Sebokeng government mortuary on 24 March. Police told the parents that at the time his body was found, it was decomposed and burned on the side.
No one has been arrested.
