Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Thema said that there is a need to improve one’s knowledge as far as football is concerned, to the international level. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that football is more than just playing but also what is happening beyond the field of play. This is the continuing FIFA Diploma International Law Course, Thema attended other courses this year. He recently he went to United States (US) to do the same course together with Motlanthe. This is one of the courses that is well recognised in the world to improve football globally and is attended by football administrator all over the world.

There is no doubt that when Thema comes back, he will impact this knowledge to the local football administrators in this region especially at club level. He also believes that this is very important especially dealing with transfers of young players.

“I must say there is so much to learn about since I started attended this FIFA Diploma In Football Law. These are some of the things that we need to know about, especially when it comes to the transfer of the minors. When I come back I will be able to share some of these things with our local football administrators and coaches. Look, football is all about business to other countries unlike back there at home. The clubs must understand that football is business and must be treated like one if we have to compete against the best in the world. I’m very honoured to be in the same class with Advocate Tebogo Motlanthe who is also SAFA’s CEO and we are enjoying ourselves here,” he concluded.
