SEDIBENG.- The CAF/SAFA D License Coaching Course is scheduled to take place from 25 November to 2 December.
Initially, the course was supposed to take place in October but was postponed because few coaches had enrolled for the coaching course. This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by the Emfuleni Local Football Association (ELFA) Head of Technical Development, Tsimo Motsepe. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Motsepe said they decided to postpone the course because the main priority and preference was local coaches with few of them enrolled, and the majority who had enrolled coming from outside the area.

“Look, there is nothing wrong when outside coaches enroll but we want our local coaches to be our first priority. We will do everything in our power to empowered Sedibeng development coaches for the sake of the development of our players. Remember, most of our coaches are not working or don’t have any form of income. It is our responsibility as the association to make sure that every coach in Emfuleni gets educated.”
Motsepe said that they want all the local coaches especially female coaches to attend this D License to improve their knowledge of coaching.
“It is very important for coaches to empower themselves and become better leaders in our community. It is not only about football but also being leaders in our community,” said Motsepe.
The course fee is R300 per coach and at the end of the coaching course, all the coaches who attend the course will be awarded with their CAF/SAFA D License.
