VANDERBIJLPARK – Moipone Sejane (20) is making waves in the pageant world as she proudly steps into the finals of Miss Gauteng.
The 20-year-old from Vanderbijlpark shared her journey with Ster South, describing it as a roller coaster of excitement, growth, and self-discovery.
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with incredible people who pushed me to become a better version of myself, and pushed me out of my comfort zone to showcase my authentic self,” Sejane expressed with enthusiasm.
She emphasised that every moment has been a valuable learning experience. “With modeling, I’ve learned how to be confident and consistent in what I do and to always embrace my uniqueness,” she added.
Despite facing challenges such as negative comments, criticism, constant comparisons, and rejection, Sejane has remained resilient and focused on the positive and prioritised herself.
Reflecting on her milestone as a Miss Gauteng finalist, Sejane shared, “the Miss Gauteng pageant has always been a dream for me.”
Currently, in the preliminary round, Sejane is gearing up for a fashion show in September and shared her emotions on the looming day.
“I feel a mix of excitement and nerves as this is my first big pageantry entrance. Making it this far is a testament to my determination and willingness to push myself out of my comfort zone,” she remarked.
My greatest desire is to end this journey with a sense of inspiration, knowing that I brought a positive impact into the lives of young girls and women. I hope to use my passion, voice, creativity, and energy to inspire others to embrace their individuality and truly be and love themselves,” she said.
Looking to the future, Sejane dreams of launching a successful business in her field of passion and winning numerous titles to amplify her message.
She alluded that her journey in the Miss Gauteng pageant is just the beginning of what promises to be a bright and inspiring career.
