DA guns for ELM mayor

The Democratic Alliance has called for Sipho Radebe's resignation as the mayor.

VANDERBIJLPARK – The DA in Emfuleni Local Municipality is calling for the resignation of the Executive Mayor, Sipho Radebe.

According to the party’s Caucus leader, the mayor has failed to deliver services to the residents of ELM three years later, since his appointment.

Following such claims, the DA issued a video statement giving Mayor Radebe 72 hours to evacuate his office.

Speaking to Ster South, Nkosi Mthembu DA Caucus leader in Emfuleni called for the resignation of Radebe.

“Due to the lack of service delivery experienced by residents of Emfuleni, we are calling on the mayor to resign. November 1st marks exactly three years since we had local elections, and since then Radebe’s service delivery has gone down,” he said.

“We are sending a strong message to the mayor since he has failed to collect enough revenue, and he made sure that services do not get to the people and for that, we can’t sit back as the DA and allow our beautiful municipality go down the drain. We give him 72 hours to resign, failure to do so, we will help him pack his bags and go,” he said.
