MMC Mako on a project oversight visit

SEDIBENG.– The Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Human Settlements, Hassan Mako expressed confidence about the progress of the Extensions 28 and 30 housing projects in Sebokeng.
Mako led the Section 80 delegation to the Extension 28 and 30 housing projects oversight last week.
The purpose of the visit was to track progress, assess challenges, and ensure coherent construction of 6 000 units aimed at housing and improving the lives of deserving beneficiaries. The project will also include an SMME hub, a public hall, the revamping of Kwa-Masiza Stadium, and a taxi rank among other amenities.
Mako expressed confidence about the progress of the project and its impact.
“The Project comes at a time when we are battling with illegal occupation of land, our people will benefit greatly from this project. Improving our housing infrastructure in Emfuleni is essential for advancement and the well-being of our community.”
According to ELM, the Section 80 oversight visit emphasises the municipality’s dynamic approach to develop infrastructure in Emfuleni. Mako committed to revisiting the sites to ensure smooth operations and that the objectives are met.
