KLIPRIVIER – The police recently conducted various operations in the Kliprivier policing precinct, arresting 29 suspects.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Tintswalo Ndhambi states that members worked tirelessly to clamp down on crime in the area.
Speaking to Ster North, Ndhambi said that the arrests were for various offences including driving under the influence of alcohol, being in the country without proper documentation, harbouring illegal immigrants, and possession of illicit cigarettes.
Following the success, station commander Colonel Lekete Mofokeng applauded the members who made the operation successful, lauding the apprehension of a large number of suspects in proportion to the station’s capacity.
Ndhambi said that police will continue with efforts to ensure that law and order are upheld. The arrested individuals are scheduled to appear in various magistrates’ courts within the Sedibeng District.
