IN PICS: Gauteng Health MEC brings vital medical services directly to Bophelong residents

Bophelong hall was abuzz on Monday as the Health and Wellness MEC, together with healthcare workers, took services to their doorstep.

BOPHELONG – The newly appointed Gauteng Health and Wellness MEC, Faith Mazibuko, brought free healthcare services directly to the doorstep of residents on May 25, marking nearly two months since she took office.

The visit to Bophelong Ext 16 Hall forms part of the #Siyabaphilisa outreach programme, an initiative designed to provide a range of essential health services to local communities.

During the campaign, Mazibuko observed healthcare workers engage with the community and provide a wide range of essential treatments.

Dozens of residents gathered at the local hall to get different health screenings.

The comprehensive care on offer included general health screenings, HIV and TB testing, vaccinations, PrEP distribution, chronic medication support, and oral health services.

Residents were also encouraged to bring along their family and friends to benefit from the initiative.
