Thank you for assistance at accident scene

I hope you all know that you’ve restored a sense of hope in humanity in our hearts. Thank you and God bless you.

Clarissa Janse van Rensburg of Vanderbijlpark writes:

We had a motorcycle accident on Sunday, October 29 on Vaal Drive, right in front of the La Voila complex.

A man driving a blue Renault suddenly turned across the lanes towards the entrance of the complex. He did so with no indication whatsoever. He turned right in front of us and stopped dead in front of my husband and I, which caused the collision.

We would just like to thank the lady doctor as well as all the people who stopped to help us.

The man with the Renault tried to flee the scene but my husband managed to stop him even though he was injured. There were a few gentlemen who then assisted in keeping the culprit at bay. Some gentlemen also helped us load our bikes onto their bakkie and took us home. So, we especially want to thank them: Marcel de Jager, Wayne Bossman and Dan.

Thank you to every person who stopped to check if we were o.k. and to offer some kind of assistance. Thanks also go to the ER24 team and Botha’s Towing Services who assisted.

My husband Robin and I really took this to heart. In the world we live in today it is rare to find people who say they care, let alone see people doing something for someone else.

I hope you all know that you’ve restored a sense of hope in humanity in our hearts. Thank you and God bless you.
