Boipatong SAPS conducts door-to-door at Snakepark

This was in order to address contact crime, crime against women and children.

BOIPATONG. – Boipatong SAPS in collaboration with Department of community safety, Community Policing Forum (CPF), Patrollers and Gander Based Violence (GBV) Brigrades launched a door-to-door campaign at Snakepark, Boipatong this week.

This was in order to address contact crime, crime against women and children.

Police spokesperson Thembeka Maxambela said that together they managed to distribute 350 informative pamphlets addressing house breaking, business burglary and GBV. Tips of crime pamphlets with station management contact details were apportioned.

“The second phase door-to-door was conducted to mobilise community meeting at a shopping complex where an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) bombing took place,” said Maxambela.

The Station Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Puleng Mokoena mentioned that the community was happy to see more visibility of the police in the area as it is difficult to drive in the area due to the poor roads.
