SEBOKENG.- The Toughest Young Minds conducted training to empower young Ke Moja coaches.
This training programme took place at the Community Hall in Zone 14 from August 31-July 2 with an estimated 62 people who attended this initiative. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Mzwakhe Msibi who is the Director of the organisation said the purpose of this training was to educate their coaches to help those with lower self-esteem and build them to know their worth.
“This training was to ensure that our trainers equip these trainees with the knowledge to guide and educate children in schools and our youth out of school about the danger of substances abuse. Looking through the trainees we will be interviewing about 30 coaches to go out and implement the programme. We will also have peer counsellors who will be working hand in hand with our social workers and they will help identify learners with substance abuse problems. We will assist them with ways to rehabilitate,” he said.
