Christmas comes early for Tshepiso community

SHARPEVILLE.- Christmas came early for the elderly when the newly founded Tshepiso Community Movements spoiled them recently.
The organisation put a smile on the faces of those in need when they donated food parcels to pensioners and those with special needs. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Harry Mosinki said the movement is five months old but has already made a notable impact in the community. He told Sedibeng Ster the movemnet is involved in many community projects to uplift people. Mosinki said the aim of the organisation is to fight poverty and crime within the community.

“We knock on every door of stakeholders asking for donations of any kind and in this way manage to provide food parcels to pensioners and disabled people. It’s great to see how much they appreciated this. We all know that most elderly stay alone and can’t always take good care of themselves, hence we saw the necessary need to assist. We committed to continue to touch the lives of those who are less fortunate within our community,” said Mosinki.

According to Mosinki the organisation also hosts events for the youth to keep them busy, focused and keep them off the streets.
