SEDIBENG.- After registering a huge victory against Orlando Pirates over the past weekend, Sekhukhune United will host Polokwane City in the DSTV Diski Challenge (DDC) at the Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark on Sunday.
Kick-off is at 10:00.
United comes into this encounter with their confidence high after their famous 2-1 victory against Pirates. This victory will go a long way and boost them when they host City this Sunday. However, the two teams are languishing at the middle of the log with United still stuck in position nine even after they beat Pirates.
They accumulated 21 points from 17 games they played so far this season.
On the other hand, City languished in position 17 with 11 points, however, they played fewer games compared to their opponents. They have played 15 games in total. Against Pirates, United showed a different class altogether. No one gave them a chance against Pirates but they made many eat humble pie when they brought the mighty Pirates down to earth.
It will be interesting to see if they will continue with the impressive performance that saw them beat Pirates.
Meanwhile, Pirates will be away to Chippa United in another DDC match that will take place this weekend. It is going to be difficult for Pirates to come back home with three points after suffering a 2-1 defeat to United.
However, both teams seem to be struggling to find their old form with Chippa United languishing the 14th position on the log.
