VANDERBIJLPARK.- Kamohelo Maloka (22), aka “Sir Johnson” is the one of the latest upcoming DJs to have come in Vaal.

His fascination with the art of DJing started in primary school, where he would often find himself captivated by performance of renowned DJs such as DJ Christos, Vinny da Vinci, Rocco, and Ralf Galm to mention but few. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster the well-looking Maloka said his inaugural performance as a DJ was at the wedding and he received overwhelming positive response from the audience. Maloka remember like it happened yesterday saying he was still in grade 7.

He told Sedibeng Ster that this encouraging debut was followed by additional performances at nearby location, further boosting his confidence as DJ to perform in front of big crowd. Even though, his passion for DJing was rekindled when he was in matric, this never stopped him from persuading this career with the support from his parents.

“My DJing career experienced a brief hiatus during my high school, my passion for the craft was rekindled during my matric year, inspired by watching DJ shows on television. This renewed enthusiasm led me to release mixes, create engaging content on social media platforms, and network with promoters to establish myself within the industry. My perseverance and dedication have yield notable successes, including a club a club residency at MCafe, a prominent nightclub in the Vaal,’ said Maloka.

Despite challenges inherited to being a DJ in a smaller market, Maloka aka “Sir Johnson” remains committed to his craft, driven by an unwavering passion and a desire to share his music with the world.

This soft-talking DJ told Sedibeng Ster that his ambition is to become a world-renowned DJ, performing international and high profile events in the world sharing his unique sound with diverse audience globally.

Maloka said he is confidence that his unique bled of talent, passion and dedication will make him an excellent addition to radio station’s lineup.

He told Sedibeng Ster that he is looking forward to the opportunity to share his music and talent with the listeners.
