Empowering women, empowering communities!

“Let's continue to work together, to create a society where all women and girls can live free from violence and inequality.”

SEDIBENG.- The Gauteng Department of Social Development’s gender-based violence (GBV) unit in Sedibeng, in collaboration with the Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) and other partners, took services to the people of the Bantu Bonke informal settlement near Three Rivers last week.

“As part of our ongoing Women’s Month commemoration, we brought together government departments, non-profit organisations, and local stakeholders to provide essential services and support to women and girls in the community,” the department said.

The department said that its mission is to:

– Provide access to GBV services and support

– Empower women and girls with knowledge and resources

– Foster community engagement and participation

“Let’s continue to work together, to create a society where all women and girls can live free from violence and inequality.”
