Majoro oa Pina to release Ke nako
“So, I decided not to go back to school because I wanted to focus only on music."
SEDIBENG.- Hailing from deep down in the Free State, Majoro Oa Pina, whose real name is Tieho Mbele, is a rapper, singer, producer, graphic designer, manager, videographer, and record label owner.
After finishing matric, Mbele took a gap year, and then, in his words, he discovered that he had too much potential in the music industry.
“So, I decided not to go back to school because I wanted to focus only on music. I started doing music in 2020 during the lockdown. It was nothing serious because I started because of loneliness, but as time went by, I started realising I’ve a passion for music.”

He told Sedibeng Ster that he had no studio equipment, “And no one had a studio in my hood by that time, that’s where I started recording my songs using an app called Tune Me on my phone. I made my first song that went viral in 2021, which is Ngwanana Lekgowa. That’s where I realised that I can live with music. In 2022, I recorded a song titled Lerato Laka, which also went viral.”
Early in 2023, he said, the famous Ntate Stunna gave away an open verse challenge of Mekaefete, and, “That is where I got recognised by many people because it reached more than 20k alone on YouTube. Then people started loving me, and I inspired many young artists.”
Mbele has currently dropped a joint EP with Helicopter RSA, and he has a single which is called Ke Nyetse.
“I have another upcoming EP called Ke Nako. The date of its release has not been finalised. I’m available on all social platforms as Majoro Oa Pina. I am also currently shooting a visual of Nkutlwe letebele, which is now available on all digital platforms.”
