Vereeniging crime operation exposes undocumented workers and corrupt boss

The operation led to the arrest of 12 undocumented employees for contravening the Immigration Act.

VEREENIGING – During crime prevention operations in Vereeniging this week, members of the Gauteng Traffic Police, together with Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT and SLEU (Southern Corridor), acted on intelligence regarding a company allegedly employing undocumented workers.

The operation led to the arrest of 12 undocumented employees for contravening the Immigration Act.

The employer was also arrested after attempting to bribe officers with R10,000.
