SEDIBENG. – Sarah Manyokolo Notsi from the House of Sarah recently hosted the Real Women of the Vaal Awards at the Meriting Events Centre.

The awards were also held in celebration of House of Sarah’s 25 years in the fashion business.

The Real Woman of the Vaal Awards honoured dynamic, impactful, and inspiring women across various sectors, including business, community development, education, leadership, health, and the arts. Those nominated reflected their outstanding contributions and the impact they’ve had in their different fields and community.

Amongst them were Sedibeng District Municipality (SDM) Executive Mayor, Lerato Maloka, SDM Speaker Moipone Modikeng, Tsoana Nhlapo from the Sharpeville Foundation, Brigadier Nikiwe Sefatsa, and Nkapu Ranake from Kitso Development Centre, to mention but a few.

“The awards were also held to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women across different sectors, to inspire and empower young women through visible role models, to build a strong community network of women, changemakers in the Vaal, and to promote local female-led initiatives and leadership in the region,” Notsi said.
