Vereeniging SAPS celebrates PSA members for their dedication and service
Event honours the dedication and unseen efforts of Public Service Act employees at Vereeniging SAPS.
VEREENIGING – A celebratory affair recognising the dedication and excellent service of Vereeniging SAPS Public Service Act (PSA) employees was recently held. The auspicious event, which fostered unity among staff and management, was led by the station commander, Brigadier Sibongile Ndaba.
September is known for celebrating Secretaries’ Day. Noting this, Ndaba decided that all PSA members should be celebrated in November. The celebration extended beyond administrative staff to include cleaners and general workers, acknowledging the vital roles they play in maintaining the station’s daily operations.
Heeding Brigadier Ndaba’s call, the Vereeniging Women’s Network took the lead in organising the event. Speaking about the initiative, police spokesperson Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela says:
“The celebration sought to motivate PSA employees and remind them that the station’s management values their dedication, sees their efforts, and appreciates their continued service.”
Guest speakers on the day included a Social Worker from the Department of Social Development and a Financial Advisor from Old Mutual, who shared words of encouragement and practical financial advice aimed at empowering the staff.
Brigadier Ndaba expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the PSA members, saying:
“Our PSA employees are the backbone of this organisation. Without their commitment and consistent hard work, our operational success would not be possible. Today we celebrate you and thank you for your loyalty and dedication.”
“Your contribution matters, and together we continue to make Vereeniging SAPS a place of service and pride.”
The event concluded on a joyful note, with members expressing gratitude for being recognised and celebrated by management.
