Pirates supporters gather for prayer session in Sebokeng

“It was very important to hold this prayer and ask God to protect everyone."

SEBOKENG.- The Orlando Pirates Sedibeng South Region Supporters Branch gathered at the Presbyterian Christian Apostolic Church in Zone 12 on Sunday for a special opening prayer service.

The event was held to seek blessings and protection for the year ahead. As dedicated fans, members often travel long distances across the country to follow their team, and the service focused on keeping them safe on the roads.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, the Sebokeng Greater Supporters Branch, public relations officer, Mzwakhe Zondo, said this event was also part of praying for those children who died in the fatal scholar transport recently.

He said so much happened in Sedibeng in a short space of time, and as supporters, they saw it fitting to hold this opening prayer.

“It was very important to hold this prayer and ask God to protect everyone. Our region has seen too many accidents since the start of the year,” Zondo noted. The prayer session was not just for Pirates supporters, but for all the people of Sedibeng to be protected by God,” he said.
