SEBOKENG.- A local model, Phoila Zimbawe, shared his excitement with Sedibeng Ster after he featured on Soweto TV’s Afternoon Hangout recently.

Zimbawe needs no introduction in the entertainment industry. For example, he made history when he was crowned Mr Daring Youth SA 2025.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Zimbawe said it was a great experience to be on television sharing his journey with Soweto TV viewers. He told Sedibeng Ster that this was his first experience on a television set. Zimbawe said he was invited to share youth perspectives and involvement in the community, as well as representing the Vaal in many beauty competitions.

He told Sedibeng Ster that he grabbed this opportunity with both hands to share his modeling journey with young people who dream of being models.

“The invitation came from the producer Ropfiwa Kone, who trusted me with this platform to add value to the conversation around young people, their challenges, and solutions. It was a great honour and a very humbling experience. I’m going to cherish this moment for the rest of my life because Soweto TV is one of the most popular television channels, and I do not doubt that I made all the Vaal people proud. I represented them very well, especially being a voice for young people in my community.”

Zimbawe is not only about modeling; he recently achieved six distinctions as a marketing student at Sedibeng College.

He revealed to Sedibeng Ster that he will also be running for Sedibeng College SRC president, and he wants to be recognised among the top 10 academic performers.
