EVATON.-  A case of murder is being investigated by the Evaton police after a man was found with gunshot wounds in Palm Springs, Evaton, on Friday.

Police spokesperson, Constable Thulisile Msibi said that on Friday, at about 15:00, the Evaton Police received a complaint of murder at Palm Springs where upon their arrival they found a man facing downwards and having three gunshots wounds at his back and two gunshot wounds on both hands.

Deceased was confronted by two men

“Paramedics declared him dead with multiple gunshot wounds. According to the eyewitness the deceased was coming from church and he was confronted by two unknown men. One of them took out a firearm and shots several gunshots towards the deceased and they ran away as the deceased fell down immediately,” Msibi said.

Nothing was taken from the deceased.

“The motive is unknown at present, and anyone who might know the whereabouts of the suspects or any information, please call Evaton Police on 08600 10111.”
