‘Walk About’ against GBV and Human Trafficking

The programme included a procession, candle lighting in honour of survivors.

SEDIBENG.- Thulani Kunene, the Deputy Chairperson of Committees, Gauteng Provincial Legislature led a powerful ‘Walk-About’ procession against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Human Trafficking at the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) in Vanderbijlpark on Wednesday morning.

The programme brought together government, law enforcement, academia, and communities in a united stand against GBVF.

The programme included a procession, candle lighting in honour of survivors, the handing over of a memorandum, as well as messages of support and keynote addresses from key stakeholders.

Communities stood together, raised awareness, and took action against GBVF and human trafficking.
