VEREENIGING.- Two police members and a driver of a van were injured this morning, Wednesday, July 1, following an accident at the corner of Joubert and Beaconsfield Streets, in Vereeniging.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela, confirmed that a collision involving a SAPS vehicle and a private vehicle occurred at the intersection of Joubert and Beaconsfield Streets.

“Two members (of police) and the driver of the vehicle sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for medical treatment. No fatalities were reported. The circumstances surrounding the collision are under investigation,” said Maxambela.
