SEDIBENG.- Sebokeng – Gifted Images proudly hosted its annual 67 Minutes Charity Drive to commemorate Mandela Day at Beverly Hills on July 18.

This was to bring together volunteers, community members, and business partners to make a meaningful difference within the community. The day began with an outreach to an elderly man living alone in a shack.

The volunteers dedicated their time to cleaning and organising his home, repairing broken windows, installing donated curtains, and providing essential household items.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Gifted Image founder Gift Dlamini said what may have seemed like small acts of kindness restored comfort, dignity and hope to someone who needed it most. The team also visited the Pelonolo Home-Based Care for Disability, where clothing, food, toiletries and other essential donations were handed over to residents.

The visit was filled with smiles, gratitude, and heartfelt moments, reminding everyone that Nelson Mandela Day is not only about giving but also about showing compassion and standing together as a community.

Dlamini said sincere appreciation must go to the Ward 28 leadership for connecting the organisation with the elderly residents and Pelonolo Home-Based Care for Disability.

She also thanks ESeneS Collection SA, one of its valued business partners, for supporting the initiative and helping make the day a success.

“We believe that true change begins with simple acts of kindness. Nelson Mandela taught us that each of us has the power to make a difference, and we remain committed to serving our communities beyond just one day each year,” said Dlamini.

Gifted Image extended heartfelt thanks to every volunteer, donor, sponsor, and community member who contributed to the success of this year’s Charity Drive.
