Evaton SAPS records 37 arrests during Operation Shanela

EVATON.- The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Evaton continues to intensify the fight against crime through Operation Shanela.
The intensity resulted in the arrest of 37 suspects for various offences during the operation conducted recently.
Police spokesperson, Constable Thulisile Msibi, said that the arrests include suspects charged with:
* Being undocumented persons
* *Possession of an unlicensed firearm
* Malicious damage to property
* Rape, and
* Driving under the influence of alcohol

“These arrests demonstrate the unwavering commitment of Evaton SAPS to combating crime, ensuring that offenders are brought to justice, and creating a safer environment for all residents. Community members are also encouraged to continue working closely with the police by reporting criminal activities and providing information that may assist in preventing and solving crime.”
