We live in a world where possibilities are endless and it is only up to an individual to discover their own potential. But, it seems, a lot of people still think ‘impossible’. I have come to realise that most of life’s magic is rooted in the mind and how one thinks usually determines what they become. Many people do not realise the major role their thoughts play in affecting their own reality. If a person thinks they will never amount to anything, then that is exactly what happens. I believe our reality as human beings is determined mostly by our thinking. When you think about negative things, you start attracting such. When you believe it is impossible, your belief will actually trap you in your circumstances. But, once you believe in possibilities, your world opens up to possibilities. We all live in our own worlds as we have our own ways of interpreting reality. For example, two people may see the same thing but will explain what they see in their own ways. We have to know that our perceptions play a part in either separating us or uniting us and we are all affected by a particular mindset. Fighting that mindset can prove to be a losing battle, however, because once someone is introduced to a particular way of thinking, they become that pattern. Most people grow up living in a pattern and hence our minds are shaped by our environments.
When you live in a routine, your responses are often automatic and do not require much of your brain power or thought. It is important for people to realise this if they want to change their lives. A life with no excitement is one in which do not learn anything new. Sometimes, it is not the fault of the environment but rather of the individual. Real change begins with young people shifting their thinking from the impossible to possible. It is every adult’s responsibility to take charge of their own lives and it is every parent’s responsibility to teach their children to think in the right way. Let us encourage our children to be free-thinkers and allow them to dream as big as they want. That will unlock their potential to reach for whatever they desire. We live in a world where anything is possible and nothing can stop you from achieving anything. The only limitations are those that individuals place upon themselves.
