It was clear that the development of township sport was one of the vital reasons why these games were held. “We are very grateful for the outstanding performances by the participants in this competition and are humbled by the organisers of the tournament to have presented us with such talent,” said executive mayor of Sedibeng District Municipality Simon ‘Sy’ Mofokeng during the prize giving presentation after the tournament. Mofokeng attended the event with Emfuleni Local Municipality MMC of Sport Art and Recreations and Cemeteries, Shaka Radebe and other dignitaries. The biggest prize of the day was handed to Dourtmund FC from Zone 14, Sebokeng who beat Sao Paulo from Zone 7 to win R 50 000. Other divisions were also awarded prizes according to their standings.
