ELFA development teams ready for the 2025/2026 season

While the league's structure will remain largely unchanged, several new teams have joined the association.

SEDIBENG.- The Emfuleni Local Football Association (ELFA) is gearing up for the 2025/2026 Development Junior League season.

Teams have already begun registering their players, and the new season is expected to kick off at the end of this month across all ELFA streams.

This was confirmed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by the ELFA Head of Development, Master Zondo.

Zondo explained that player registrations are currently being handled through the MySAFA system. He urged all clubs to submit their documents quickly so the league can start on time.

While the league’s structure will remain largely unchanged, several new teams have joined the association.

“I do not doubt that this season is going to be exciting. To make it even more exciting, we are welcoming new teams, including NWU Vaal FC, which has recently joined the league,” said Zondo.

The league administrator is currently working hard to finalise all player details.

Starting the season on schedule is a top priority to ensure there is enough time for other football programmes throughout the year.

In addition to the league matches, Zondo said the teams will also participate in the upcoming Masters Zondo Foundation Easter Tournament.
