Next season they will be a force to be reckoned with in the league.

SEDIBENG.- Young Pirates FC will finish the league out of top eight bracket.

The ABC Motsepe League season for 2025/2026 comes to the end at this weekend.

They will play their last fixture…

With one game remaining, Young Pirates FC occupy tenth position on the log with 46 points.

Indications are that they will finish the league in that position looking at the log standings. They will play their last fixture against Tshwane South College FC away from home on Saturday. They started the season with impressive performance.

This Vaal based team, was at one stage challenging for the league title, being at third position on the log. However, they dropped the ball toward the end of the season. This was their first campaign in the ABC Motsepe League but made their presence felt.

Promoted at the beginning of the season…

Despite being the newcomers in the league, they didn’t just add the numbers in the league. Pirates FC were promoted to ABC Motsepe League at the beginning of the season. This was after they did exceptionally well at the Play-offs representing Sedibeng.

For now, they are only team from this region that play in the ABC Motsepe League. Last season they were SAFA Sedibeng Hollywoodbets’ Men Regional League winners. In fact, they won SAFA Sedibeng Regional League back-to-back and eventually got promotion

Pirates FC use Sicelo Stadium in Meyerton for their home games.

The club’s chairman was adamant that next season they will be a force to be reckoned with in the league.
