All roads lead to the Fifa World Cup 2026!

This brings the total number of people from the Vaal at the FIFA World Cup 2026 to five.

SEDIBENG.- SAFA Sedibeng President, Solly Mkhabela, is set to join local stars at the Fifa World Cup 2026.

Mkhabela, who also serves as a SAFA National Executive Committee Member, confirmed he would be heading to the tournament on June 15.

He will join local players Relebohile Mofokeng, Tshepang Moremi, and Thapelo Maseko, who are currently on duty for South Africa at the global showpiece.

Mkhabela is highly experienced in travelling abroad to represent SAFA at both continental and global levels. He was part of the SAFA delegation tasked with leading the South African U20 National Team at the African Cup of Nations in Egypt in 2025, and he accompanied the same team to Chile later that year.

He will be in attendance when South Africa plays Czechia tomorrow.

Mkhabela shared his excitement on social media, posting a caption that read ‘heading to world cup’ for his followers. He will be in attendance when South Africa plays against Czechia in their second world cup match on Thursday. When asked about his travel plans to Mexico, he confirmed his Monday departure to Sedibeng Ster Sport.

Additionally, Potso Mohami, who is also from the Vaal, is already at the tournament. She told Sedibeng Ster Sport she was present when Bafana Bafana played their opening match against Mexico. This brings the total number of people from the Vaal at the FIFA World Cup 2026 to five.
