SEDIBENG.- The Vaal duo, Tshepang Moremi and Boitumelo Radiopane, came off the bench and immediately made an impact, handing Orlando Pirates another MTN8 final.
The two young stars came in during the second half with Pirates leading Sekhukhune United 2-0 in the MTN8 send-off leg semi-finals at Orlando Arena on Saturday.
Sekhukhune United came into the second half with purpose, making some serious threats thanks to Sipho Chain, who saved the day. United came out of the half-time break like a house on fire, taking the game to Pirates. They forced Pirates against the ropes for the first 15 minutes and forced the coach to make some tactical changes.
He brought in the crowd favourite Mpho ‘Phopho’ Phadime, who mesmerised his opponents with his God-given talent – much to the delight of supporters who packed the venue to capacity.
The introduction of Moremi and Radiopane saw a change of pace going forward, with Moremi known for his lightning pace. Radiopane’s ability to make blind runs troubled Sekhukhune United defenders. He forced United’s defenders to be vigilant.

The two contributed to the third goal, which put the final nail in Sekhukhune United’s coffin. It was football from heaven, starting with Phadime on the far right-hand side.
It was marvellous to watch as Moremi laid the ball on Kamogelo Sebelebele’s way, who didn’t ask for a second invitation to put the ball in the net, making the score 3-0 (4-0 aggregate).
Pirates will face Mamelodi Sundowns in the much-anticipated MTN8 final on October 10.
