EMBRACE the spirit of Christmas and foster a puppy for the Christmas period.
Renate Haussman and Penny Taylor from Harmony Hill’s Rescue Dogs encourage community members to consider fostering one of their 21 gorgeous puppies during this festive period… as there is no room in the inn.
Harmony Hill’s Rescue Dogs have recently received 14 puppies, from Four Paws and a Tale Rescue based in Scottburgh, which rescued the puppies from Craigieburn, Umkomaas.
Founder of Four Paws and a Tale Rescue, Nicky Potgieter said their organisation’s mission statement is ‘love, feed and sterilise’ your pet.
“At this time of year we do not encourage the homing of puppies as a Christmas present, hence the idea to ask for the public to open their homes and hearts to these little ones. It’s a win win situation.
“Foster parents are simply asked to open their homes to the young dogs, shower them with love and kindness and provide a safe family environment. All their injections are up to date, and any medical expenses will be covered by Harmony Hill.
“In return, the puppies will hopefully become potty-trained, learn to socialise with other animals and people and stand a better chance in finding forever homes.”
Anyone interested in being a foster parent can contact Renate (preferably SMS) on 083 4430432.
