CHILDREN who come from disadvantaged backgrounds will be given the opportunity to spend Christmas at the sea this December.
Some 130 children will be given an opportunity to enjoy an amazing, life-changing adventure at the Mercury Hibberdene Children’s Holiday Home in Hibberdene.
This exciting holiday experience is organised by a team from Just Footprints Foundation.
The organisation plans to hold two Just Footprints camps, with the first camp starting on December 16 for 100 children, and the second on December 23 for 30 children.
All the children attending these camps are orphans, with many from child-headed households.
The public is encouraged to give a Christmas gift for the children aged from six to 16 years old.
Just Footprints is particularly wanting to give the children educational gifts such as books and stationery.
The gifts must be wrapped in Christmas gift paper, marked with ‘girl or boy’ along with the child’s age.
Gifts can be delivered to Bev Marais at the Mercury Hibberdene Children’s Holiday Home. Contact Bev at 039 6992207.
