BEAUTIFULLY dressed people in coloured and sequined garments filled the Port Shepstone Civic Centre last Saturday, where the M² Community Association hosted a gala dinner for senior citizens. The guest speaker was Reverend Danny Chetty.
Dinesh Pillay, chairman of M² Community Association, said the function was an opportunity to celebrate the contribution of the elder generation to society. “M² Community Association salutes our senior citizens. They are the founding pillars of our community and this event is to pay tribute and celebrate the vital role they play, both in the family and in the community,” said Mr Pillay. “Our elders represent a link between the past, the present and the future”.
