Christmas truck is a hit

Children from townships turned out in their droves to experience the Christmas spirit.

THE One Way Christmas Truck visited various communities on the South Coast, including orphanages, retirement homes and hospitals, with toys and sweets, spreading the festive cheer. The highlight of the event was most definitely Father Christmas’s appearance at the Betania/Msikaba soccer ground, where he was greeted by hundreds of excited children.

The atmosphere was exhilarating as they received their gifts. Jumping castles, games, sport and music also formed part of the festivities. Children waited patiently at the various taxi stops in the rural townships for the truck to drive by and shower them with Christmas treats. The smiles on little faces were a powerful indicator of just how much the visit meant to them.
