ENTRANTS from all over the country took part in the Miss Summer Queen 2013 pageant held at Margate beach last Tuesday.

The contest was divided into four age categories; four to seven, eight to 11, 13 to 15 and 16 and up.

Glamourous contestants modelled on the catwalk.

Even beachgoers forgot about bathing to watch the stunning contestants go through their routines on the ramp and were pleased they were not the ones making the final decisions.

That job went to Lindi van der Merwe and Miss Teen Queen of the Universe Sasha Taylor.

After much deliberating the winners were announced to much applause from the enthusiastic crowd.

The Little Miss Summer Queen title was scooped by Anica Botha (middle) while her proud princesses were Billy Engelbrecht (left) and Esihle Diko.

Miss Teen Queen of the Universe Sasha Taylor was one of the judges.

Aarissa Muller (middle) is the Miss Summer Queen. Amanda Smit and Tehila Helberg are her princesses.

Geneveve van Rooyen (middle) was voted Mini Miss Summer Queen. She is flanked by her princesses Elaine Mazeka (left) and Lexi Voorhout.
