‘Unusual kindness is saluted’

The indigent patient was transported by a caring ambulance team.

IT is unusual to see an organisation in this day and age that is willing to do something for free. Most businesses are there for the money.

But on December 19, a team of five paramedics from KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service went out of their way to transport an indigent hemiplegic patient from his home to Netcare Margate Hospital for x-rays and back again for free.

He had sustained a fracture two months before and had been confined to his wheelchair all that time with no proper diagnosis.

Plans are coming together for surgical intervention to solve his problem, again with compassion and help from various organisations.

We would like to express gratitude to Jacob and Belinda Catchpole and their team from KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service for their willingness to help Werner Hirschler.
