Nude beach stand-off expected this weekend
Whether concerned citizens will picket or not is being kept under wraps, but Serge Pavlovic of the SA National Naturists Association said a few hundred people will ‘reveal all’ at a trial run on Saturday.
THERE could well be a stand-off between anti- and pro- nudists at Mpenjati Nature Reserve this Easter weekend.
Journalists from far and wide will no doubt expose all and keep us abreast of the situation.
The Herald is not equipped with long lenses so we are leaving it up to our photographers to decide for themselves whether they are brave enough to get close-ups.
Unfortunatley, ‘selfies’ cannot be considered for publication.
Hundreds of nudists from all over the country are expected to flock to South Africa’s ‘first legal nude beach’ this weekend.
However, the original decision by council still hangs in the balance as a group, calling themselves Concerned Citizens of Hibiscus Coast, has made a last-minute appeal to councillors to change their minds.
The latter decided at Tuesday’s monthly meeting to wait and see before making a final call.
“This means that the original decision still stands,” chuckled Hibiscus spokesman Simon April, who is obviously getting into the swing of things.

(That’s excluding the voyeurs, of course.)
